Easy Setup and Useful Remote Controls

I was looking for a cellular trail camera that would be relatively easy to set up and didn't require Wi-Fi, and this model checked those boxes. The SIM card comes already installed, so there wasn't much extra work involved before getting started. I mounted the camera on a tree, connected it through the app, and started testing the live view. The pan and tilt controls are one of my favorite features because they let me adjust the camera remotely. That's something I didn't have with my previous trail camera. The motion alerts are also useful because I don't have to constantly open the app to see if something happened. I mainly use the camera for deer and wildlife, but I could see it working well for monitoring a cabin, farm, or other remote property too. The subscription option also works well for me because I can choose the amount of cellular service based on how much I actually use the camera.

I Like Being Able to Pay Only When I Need It

One thing I like about the subscription version is the flexibility. I don't necessarily need cellular service at the same level all year because my hunting activity changes depending on the season. Being able to choose a data plan when I actually need the camera is more practical for me than paying for a service continuously. The camera itself has been working well for monitoring my property. I can receive motion alerts on my phone and open the app to see what triggered the camera. The pan and tilt controls are especially useful because I can look toward different parts of the property without physically moving the unit. The 2K live view is another feature I use quite a bit. The solar panel and rechargeable battery also make it easier to leave the camera in the field instead of constantly checking the battery. So far, it has been a good balance between price and features.

Nice Camera for Hunting Season

I bought the ZL10S camera for scouting during hunting season, and so far I have been impressed with how much I can do remotely. My hunting property doesn't have Wi-Fi, so having a 4G LTE camera is much more practical than a standard Wi-Fi security camera. I can get motion alerts on my phone, check live video, and move the camera to look in a different direction when needed. The 0.5-second trigger speed is also helpful for catching animals as they move through the area. The night vision produces clear enough footage to see what is coming through after dark. I also appreciate the solar panel because the camera is in a location where I don't want to keep going back just to replace batteries. I chose the subscription version because I wanted the lower upfront cost and the flexibility to select a data plan based on my hunting schedule.

Great Way to Try Cellular Trail Cameras

I wanted to try a cellular trail camera without spending a lot upfront, and this one made sense for me. The camera itself is reasonably priced, and the 14-day unlimited data trial gave me enough time to set it up and see how well it worked on my property before committing to a longer data plan. I really like having live video available through the app because I can check the area without walking up to the camera and disturbing everything around it. The pan and tilt function is also much more useful than I expected. I can change the viewing direction remotely instead of climbing up to the camera every time I want to adjust it. The solar panel is another nice touch for a camera that stays outside. Overall, this has been a good option for getting into cellular trail cameras without paying a large amount upfront.

Good Value Without a Big Upfront Investment

For the price, this camera gives me a lot more functionality than I expected. I was originally looking for a basic cellular trail camera, but this unit adds remote pan and tilt, live video, motion alerts, solar charging, and night vision. Being able to control the viewing direction from my phone is particularly useful because the camera is mounted in an area that is not very convenient to reach. I also like being able to check live video before deciding whether I need to go out to the property. The subscription model was the better choice for me because I didn't want to pay the higher upfront price for a lifetime data plan. I can start with the included trial data and then select a plan when I know how much I am actually using the camera. For someone who wants cellular connectivity but doesn't want to make a large initial investment, I think this is a practical option.
